Obama is not the problem...

There is a lot of talk in conservative circles about Obama. There is a lot of blame for problems being laid at his feet. I am not an Obama fan. I did not vote for him. I do not like his policies. I do not support his stance against the unborn, or his blatant disregard for Christian morals.  I would like to see him removed from office.  However, Obama is not to blame for the problems our nation faces right now. He is a symptom of our own disease.

Obama is a manifestation of the darkness we have allowed to creep into our hearts, a darkness which turns a blind eye toward the slaughter of the innocent unborn; a darkness which shuts out God and lets in all manner of vice in His place.  This is a nation who went from having laws against speaking obscenities in public places - laws that entered the books not even 70 years ago - to having no workplace free of people who can't speak a single sentence without one in them.  This is a nation whose marriages usually end in divorces, who ignore legalized prostitution and in whose homes pornography is a frequent visitor.  This is a nation that has turned its face from God.

There is still time to reclaim this nation, to restore true hope and truth to this land.  There is still time to change the way things are today, but it begins with you and it begins with me.  We must repent of the darkness, and firmly choose the light.  We must take a stand for what is right, regardless of the cost.  And we must not be silent while children are killed and women are used as objects. Things cannot continue upon their current path. God will not allow it to be so.

Isaiah 5: 5-7
"And now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will remove its hedge, and it shall be devoured; I will break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down. I will make it a waste, it shall not be pruned or hoed, and briers and thorns shall grow up; I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are his pleasant planting; and he looked for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, a cry!"
